 o Dudley\, Director\, Migrant Advocacy and Support (MAS)\nThis session pro
 vides important context about the immigrants who live and work in our comm
 unity—why they come\, the challenges they face\, and the vital roles the
 y play in our local economy and daily life. We will explore the factors th
 at motivate migration and highlight the many ways immigrant workers contri
 bute to New York State and the broader U.S. economy.\nThe discussion will 
 also address the current immigration enforcement climate and its impact on
  families and communities. Participants will learn about practical steps f
 amilies can take to prepare and reduce the risk of family separation\, as 
 well as meaningful ways community members can offer informed and compassio
 nate support to immigrants in our region.\nDudley is the Director of Migra
 nt Advocacy and Support (MAS) and  former Director of the Cornell Farmwo
 rker Program and has partnered and built deep trust with farmworkers throu
 ghout the past 20 years. She has been widely published in local\, national
 \, and international media and is the recipient of numerous local and nati
 onal awards\, including the Obama White House Champions of Change Award an
 d the W.K. Kellogg Foundation award. She currently serves as the Chair of
  the National Advisory Council on Migrant Health\n\n\n\n\nMigrant Advocac
 y and Support promotes justice\, dignity\, and equity by partnering with m
 igrants to address migrant-identified health\, legal\, and educational nee
 ds.\n\n.\n\n● What motivates people to migrate?\n● What roles do immig
