Welcome to the StLuke web

This section of the website is very early in its development. The purpose is to bring editable content to the members of St. Luke Lutheran church in Ithaca, NY. How this section develops is 100% dependent on the direction that the committee members and the congregation take it. To start with, images from a couple of events have been included in the "Events" below - Just click on the names, e.g. "EasterEvent2007".

"Who has the permission to edit?" is the fundamental question to be answered on this section of the site. Freedom to edit promotes greater community involvement, but also invites sabotage. Since content is attributed to the author, the intent is to grant members of the congregation access upon request. Eventually, any committee member should be able to authorize a new member by adding them to a "Group" that has edit privileges. For now, contact Scott Adams (scott.adams.g@gmail.com) for the ability to add content.

Two "webs" have been created for St. Luke's on this site, "StLuke" and "StLukeCommittee". "StLuke" is intended for events an information for the whole congregation as well as those outside the congregation. "StLukeCommittee" is intended to contain information pertinent to the operation of the church and the committees.
